Custom SAI Brush I by DigiKat04 Custom SAI Brush I by DigiKat04
edit (10/28): Included a text file so you can just copy and paste the file names =7=;
- - -

yes, i actually decided to submit as deviation with preview image instead of linking to my FAQ journal for the brush every once in a while or so =7=

all but "block"(which is my favorite brush 8D) brush was just made few hours ago :la:

i'm not sure if they are useful or not but...XD;;; here ya go~

+ + + + + + + + + + +

The easy 5 steps for manual installation☆:

:bulletblue: Go to your SAI folder

:bulletblue: Move/extract the brushes to the "elemap" folder

:bulletblue: Then open "brushform" and "0 -copy and paste-" file (<- from the .zip)

:bulletblue: Simply paste all the contents from the .zip text file to the brushform file

:bulletblue: Save the file.

and of course --- SAI need to be restarted so they can be used~

+ + + + + + + + + + +

hope it can be used for something XD; to make them useful, go mess around with the settings~

=====

as for the term of use:

:bulletgreen: You may not claim they're made by you and redistribute in another site without my permission.

:bulletgreen: If someone asks you where you got these brushes, just give him/her the link to here~

=====

and that's pretty much it~

Okay, since I can't tell what would be the exact issue that's preventing those brushes from appearing, I'll rewrite the steps differently:

1. After you download the .zip, open it and extract all the content on the desktop.

2. Then go to your Paint Tool Sai folder. There you can find folders like "blotmap", "brushtex", "elemap", and so on.

3. Open the folder called "elemap". There you can find .bmp files that has bunch of blue-lined circle that's divided in four parts (the brushes, essentially). Move all the .bmp files that you extracted in the step 1 from the Desktop to in this folder.

4. Now open the "0 -copy and paste-" text file that was also in the .zip file. You see lines like "2,elemap\arrow.bmp" and the rest of the alike. Select all and copy them.

5. Back to the Paint Tool Sai folder, you can find many weird files and one of them is called "brushform.conf". double-click it and if it asks for how to open that file, choose NotePad from the program list and open it.

6. Just paste what you copied from the text file in step 4, and save it.

7. Now either start or restart Sai, and go select the pencil brush and in the brush setting part there's size, min size, and density, right? Below that there are 2 drop-menu boxes so click the first one below the "density", and you should be able to see the brushes that you installed in the list.

Hope now it works? XD;

By 'restarted', I meant you would have to quit the program and open it again in case you did the whole process of modifying files while the program was open and running; if you did it while it wasn't running, there's nothing to worry. It just that when you modify these files, the program have to always needs to be restarted so the new changes are applied. Also thank you too. 8D
